“Thank You!” is always in order – and there are so many to thank. A nonprofit organization, especially one that is in its foundational stages, seems to always have many needs and little resources. One thing Joyful Orange is not short on, however, are people willing to offer much needed diverse support. This spot is a way we are able periodically to acknowledge and showcase one or two of these people that mean so much to the success of our organization and mission.
Our first is actually a group – the priceless women who comprise Joyful Orange’s GrandMothers-at-Heart. Deanna Anthony, Maggie Schwab, Diana McCleary and Linda Urban worked tirelessly to cultivate donors, organize and oversee our highly successful May 2009 fun(d)raiser silent auction. This, however, is only their latest contribution. Deanna, Maggie, Diana and Linda ongoingly have been instrumental in planning and “manning” our yard sales and other fundraising events. In addition to their front line assistance, the GrandMothers’ wisdom, life experiences and love for all children, help stabilize and enrich our work on behalf of all children.
Thank you, Deanna, Diana, Linda and Maggie for being such an integral part of Joyful Orange.
